The flower garden pictures of Alice B. Chittenden have created much admiration and though she is still passing a greater part of each week in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties there is constant attendance at her studio to view her new work. The subjects are portrayed on canvases of generous size and also as sketches. The detail and merit of the latter being of as striking value as the larger pictures. Mrs. Chittenden is contemplating a display in an Eastern gallery which has asked for her California sketches.
